Did The Secret work for you? Or did you find that after the first week life went back to normal? I bet you even tried thinking those positive thoughts and getting those positive feelings, but every time you tried, it felt like everything just went flat.

Its purpose was to introduce you to a new way of thinking and being, and frankly, I think it did its job. Details on how to create a better life were never supposed to be in the movie. So now what?
Thinking positive thoughts is just not enough. To create effective change in your life, it takes more than a happy thought here or there. Each and every one of us has an internal critic inside our heads. Haven’t you noticed that every time you think a positive thought or try to make a change in your life, that little voice starts talking back to you. Are you familiar with this?
Positive thought: “I am so glad to be changing my life in this way.”
Bad thought: “And how long will this last? Until you’re bored or you see that it doesn’t work!”
Happy thought: “I just know that what I want in life is coming to me easily and effortlessly.”
Bad thought: “No it’s not, you’re lying.”
How Many Thoughts to Think? — I know you’ve had these kinds of thoughts, everybody does. In fact, are you aware that we each entertain about 50,000 to 60,000 thoughts a day?
They were right when they said that in the movie The Secret, it is the law of attraction at work. Science has proven this to be true. Studies have been done to measure negative thoughts to positive thoughts (and yes they do have a way to measure the difference). Even though all this thinking is going on, science tells us that only 5% of it is conscious.
The rest belongs to the realm of the unconscious.
The rest come from that below the surface, unconscious realm.
You may know this place. It is the place where all your negative (and positive) programs are held. It is the place where all your negative thinking is stored. It is also the place that stores your experiences that reinforce your negative and positive programs.
This is why when you change your thinking, your bad thoughts shoot down your positive thoughts.
4 Negative Thoughts for Every Positive Thought — On average most people think 4 negative thoughts to 1 positive thought. With that kind of ratio, it’s going to be hard to change what you’re thinking. The idea is to shift the balance to the tipping point — this is where you need to be to affect a change in your life, it is that simple.
The problem is most of us don’t know how to do this, we need help — we need a system or a mentor to help us make these positive changes.
It Doesn’t Matter What Program You Use — I don’t think it matters what program you choose when operating with the secret law of attraction, as long as it is going to be something that works for you. Remember that we are multi-sensory beings and if you enroll in a program that operates primarily by listening to CD’s, but you’re a visual person, the CD’s and the program won’t work for you. You need to match your learning style to your sensory modality.
