The Secrets To Law Of Attraction Basics

Did The Secret work for you? Or did you find that after the first week life went back to normal? I bet you even tried thinking those positive thoughts and getting those positive feelings, but every time you tried, it felt like everything just went flat.

Only now that you were awakened to your possibilities — you wanted more.

You desired it.

Too Much Was Left Out in the Movie — In all honesty, I don’t think this movie was supposed to be any different then what it was. Its purpose was to introduce you to a new way of thinking and being, and frankly, I think it did its job. Details on how to create a better life were never supposed to be in the movie. So now what?

Thinking positive thoughts is just not enough. To create effective change in your life, it takes more than a happy thought here or there. Each and every one of us has an internal critic inside our heads. Haven’t you noticed that every time you think a positive thought or try to make a change in your life, that little voice starts talking back to you. Are you familiar with this?

Positive thought: “I am so glad to be changing my life in this way.”

Bad thought: “And how long will this last? Until you’re bored or you see that it doesn’t work!”

Happy thought: “I just know that what I want in life is coming to me easily and effortlessly.”

Bad thought: “No it’s not, you’re lying.”

How Many Thoughts to Think? — I know you’ve had these kinds of thoughts, everybody does. In fact, are you aware that we each entertain about 50,000 to 60,000 thoughts a day?

They were right when they said that in the movie The Secret, it is the law of attraction at work. Science has proven this to be true. Studies have been done to measure negative thoughts to positive thoughts (and yes they do have a way to measure the difference). Even though all this thinking is going on, science tells us that only 5% of it is conscious.

The rest belongs to the realm of the unconscious.

The rest come from that below the surface, unconscious realm.

You may know this place. It is the place where all your negative (and positive) programs are held. It is the place where all your negative thinking is stored. It is also the place that stores your experiences that reinforce your negative and positive programs.

This is why when you change your thinking, your bad thoughts shoot down your positive thoughts.

4 Negative Thoughts for Every Positive Thought — On average most people think 4 negative thoughts to 1 positive thought. With that kind of ratio, it’s going to be hard to change what you’re thinking. The idea is to shift the balance to the tipping point — this is where you need to be to affect a change in your life, it is that simple.

The problem is most of us don’t know how to do this, we need help — we need a system or a mentor to help us make these positive changes.

It Doesn’t Matter What Program You Use — I don’t think it matters what program you choose when operating with the secret law of attraction, as long as it is going to be something that works for you. Remember that we are multi-sensory beings and if you enroll in a program that operates primarily by listening to CD’s, but you’re a visual person, the CD’s and the program won’t work for you. You need to match your learning style to your sensory modality.

The program or mentor you pick, to be effective, must work with your learning style to have a long-term effect in your life.

The Secrets Of The Law Of Attraction

Isn’t it amazing how many law of attraction experts there on on the internet?

When the Secret came out in 2006, instantly, these experts showed up everywhere on the internet.

Most of these people never even heard of The Secret before 2006. Myself, I’ve been using it’s precepts since right around the middle of the 1970’s.

And while I do know more than most, I don’t consider myself a guru, I don’t know everything there is to know (though I know a lot) and I am always learning something new about the law of attraction every day. The funny thing of it is, this alleged “secret” information has been around since the 1st century.

While the meanings remain the same, the how-to’s might have been written differently.

From Wikipedia (referring to the fabled Emerald Tablet):

“The oldest documentable source for the text is the Kitab Sirr al-Asrar, a compendium of advice for rulers in Arabic which purports to include letters from Aristotle to Alexander the Great. This work was translated into Latin as Secretum Secretorum (The Secret of Secrets).”

Changing the way you present old information doesn’t change the information itself. The last century saw countless authors writing to these topics, such as, “Think and Grow Rich,” the “Science of Getting Rich.”

Depending upon which self-help guru you subscribe to, they all tell the story of law of attraction a tad differently.

Some will tell you about the 7 laws of the universe, the 11 laws of the universe or the 7 laws of abundance. I know it can be confusing, what are you supposed to do?

If you are a naturally happy person, and things mostly go your way, you don’t need any help, what you want will show up in your life: it is law.

The problem is most people don’t operate from a place of happiness and gratitude. And in fact, most of us go through life operating from the unconscious side of our being, which is operating 90% to 95% of the time.

Unfortunately, most people don’t live this way. Most of the time they live unconsciously, with only about 5% of the waking time being attributed to conscious thought. I am not making these numbers up. The percentages may change based upon the study, but basically, the information is the same.

What we experience in our lives is a result of whatever got stored in the unconscious realm of ourselves. So this is why, even if you try to change your thinking, for every positive though you have, four negative ones counter it.

There is Hope — You Can Change Your Life

You Can Overcome

You are conditioning yourself to being aware of your negative thoughts so that you can change them. It’s been said that it takes 30 days to create a new habit or to change an old one.

It’s a form of Pavlov’s conditioning that will more than likely take 30 days of constant practice to make it work, but it will work.

You will need to change hands because your wrist will be awfully sore after 50,000 some thoughts (I highly doubt you can pay attention to all of them).
