Easing Depression Through The Law of Attraction And Meridian Tapping

While medical attention and mental health counseling are important methods for the treatment of depression, the Law of Attraction and meridian tapping are also accepted forms of treatment.

To begin using the Law of Attraction to help with depression you must first take a moment to write a gratitude list. You can write seemingly inconsequential things down but if they are positive you are on the right track. Though you are depressed there has to be a small part of your life that’s going well. Concentrate on this small thing that is going well for you. Depression can be devastatingly difficult but there has to be at least one thing you can be thankful for even if it is that you were able to get out of bed this morning. Make a list called “Ten Things I’m Happy About in My Life.” Complete the sentences which start out like “I am happy that….”

Keep doing lists a couple of times a day. Find what is happening in your life that is better than the rock bottom depression. Write down ten things you appreciate about your life: Ten Things I Appreciate about My Life. If you are not coming up with anything, start a list thanking the universe for bringing you stuff you wish you had but you do not yet have. Act as if you have it already. “Thank you Universe for bringing me a better mood today,” or “Thank you for bringing me the perfect solution to the issue at work that was bugging me.” This uses the old technique of acting “as if” to change the topic and the focus.

It’s not about denying the depression; that’s where you are and that’s your vibration. But for two or three minutes a day you focus on what is not so terrible. Maybe you love your computer or your pet. Maybe you appreciate that your commute to work is short. You are just looking for something that is better than the terrible depression. Get out of bed. Get off the couch. Write lists.

Another thing you can do is meridian tapping. You must be specific if meridian tapping is to be successful. Depression is too broad of a category to use for tapping. Identify where you feel the depression the most. Does your head feel cloudy? If so, that’s where you start. You can say something along the lines of “Even though my head is cloudy and sad, I accept myself and love myself anyway.” The point of this is to make connections with your brain so that you can alter your energy vibrations so you don’t continually think about being depressed.

Since you’ve identified your cloudy mind as a place where you notice your symptoms of depression, begin tapping there. Start with the inside point of your eyebrow by your nose and say, “What if I could feel better in an hour?” There’s no need to force the idea. Simply put the possibility out in the universe. Then tap on the outside edge of the eye where the brow bone and the cheek bone meet and say, “What if I could feel better as soon as tomorrow?” Doing this and saying these things acts as a way to refocus your thoughts away from the constant reminder of depression.

Meridian tapping works with the energy systems in the body. Therefore, it is effective for a cold or something more complex like depression. Tapping helps you unclog your energy blockages, it calms your energetic system and reinvigorates your energy, blood and circulation to once again flow with ease. Take each symptom and use that as a guide to your tapping. No matter what your feelings are – anger, frustration, exhaustion – tap on the feelings and symptoms.

Depression can be from a chemical imbalance, an emotional focus, or a combination of the two. For some people it’s one, for others it’s the other; and for everyone else it is in between. Carol Look’s Prescription for Prosperity includes 15 tips for attracting prosperity into your life. Following are tips 5 through 9.

5. Act from inspiration. Inspiration is different from motivation. Motivation is will power; it’s like the first two weeks in your gym in January-it only lasts so long. The people who are still there mid January are inspired to get in shape. Where motivation is about forcing or dragging yourself, inspiration is a feeling of congruence, of yes. When you act from motivation you get lukewarm results. When you act from inspiration you feel light and excited. Sometimes you can’t choose when to take action, when you are working for someone else, for example. But when you can, for instance with your own business, wait until you are inspired before you take action. The results will be much better.

6. Install the vibration of abundance. You must have a vibration of abundance to attract more abundance into your life. Carol uses lots of different abundance games to raise her clients’ vibrations and get them ready to receive. One game is called the gratitude interview – pretend you’re being interviewed by someone famous and they ask you “What do you feel grateful for?” Answer out loud or write it down.

Another game to install the vibration of abundance is called the list game. Simply write down 10 things that are making you happy today. This is an instant fixer when things are going bad.

Another game is to write a list of 10 things where the answer is unambiguously yes. This raises your vibration.

Another thing you can do to focus on being thankful is a gratitude walk. Take a walk in nature while focusing on things for which you are grateful. Be mindful during your walk and recognize your gratitude in the here and now.

7. Count your blessings. When something negative occurs in your life make a gratitude list. You can make a list every day of ten things you are thankful for such as what you love about your day, your life, or ten things you love about your work. If you have physical ailments, write down ten things you appreciate about your body: or when you are in a bad mood, think of positive things in your life. An important aspect to consider is that writing your list, rather than typing it, is more powerful for you. Your brain and hands must work together with your thoughts to create the words and visions you appreciate; therefore, a more thorough and powerful experience takes place. Soon, your mood and energy have both been lifted.

8. Bless their success. Do you know someone who’s successful? Bless their success! Don’t be jealous or feel like you don’t measure up – instead, think about what they accomplished and how you can do the same. Healthy competition is one thing – feeling envious or resentful is another. Don’t allow your thoughts about someone else’s blessings to bring you down and damage your vibration.

9. Stop asking and start listening. Take the time to focus on the energy of the solution. Another game is to act as if the solution has come. What would you feel like if the problem were resolved? In this way you move energy away from a place of lack and step into the energy of how you would feel if the solution had already come. Stop asking how to fix this and start listening for some kind of internal guidance. Quiet down the static and make space to hear answers rather than being obsessed with the problem. Once you change the vibration the solution comes. Every day find a few minutes of peace and quiet. Orient inside to your body; listen to your heartbeat or count your breath to keep your focus on yourself and not on outward things. Focus on heart energy and intuition and get back into divine inspiration.
